Hot Tub Noise
An installation of a new hot tub results in everyone getting very excited and looking forward to jumping in. That is until the noise from the equipment and occupants can prove to be a real problem. Owners often become ‘stressed’ at how noisy everything is and have serious thoughts of removing the hot tub totally, so as not to create an issue with neighbours – that is until they discover Acoustiblok.
The hot tub pictured had been installed on a patio, close to the neighbouring boundary and about two metres from the house, but quite quickly it became apparent that the noise levels from the equipment and pumps as well as the occupants caused a real problem. That was when the owners contacted Acoustiblok with the hope that something could be done to reduce sound levels, otherwise they felt they would not to be able to continue to use it for the sake of good relations with their neighbours.
As a result, Acoustiblok Isolation Membrane was introduced to the base of the hot tub to elevate vibration, also to the side panels to reduce resonance and airborne sound, as well as to the neighbouring boundary line in a fence construction to control audible levels from the occupants.
“The tub has been in use for quite a while now without as much as an issue from anyone and we are so very grateful. Thanks again”
“Just a quick note to thank you all for helping me with my noisy hot tub problem. As I installed your Acoustiblok Membrane to the base and surrounds, the noise reduced to a near silent hum. I just can’t believe how well it has all worked!”
