In accordance and compliance with Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, Acoustiblok UK Ltd is pleased to publish this statement, outlining the steps the company has taken and continues to take to prevent modern slavery occurring in its business and in its supply chains.
Acoustiblok UK Ltd are a specialist supplier of advanced acoustic insulation materials to many differing sectors commercial and industrial, oil and gas, marine, automotive, architectural designs / specification within the construction market as well as many other. Although operations centre in UK we supply projects throughout all the regions of the World.
As our activities are based around specific core materials recognised as advanced in their class we have a reasonably simple supply chain and we are committed to ensuring that the issues of modern-day slavery and human trafficking are entirely excluded from these purchase lines and support functions.
We set out the following steps to prevent modern slavery:
- Stringent vetting and investigation of our supply chain
- Continually audit and review our practices for checking all employees are paid above the minimum wage and have the right to work.
- Encourage the reporting of concerns and protection of whistle blowers
- Not knowingly support or deal with any business involved in slavery or human trafficking
- Zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking and expect our supply chain and contractors to comply with our values.
We have continued to raise Modern Slavery awareness within our business and our supply chain by reviewing and updating our detailed activity specific risk assessments and we continue to improve processes and practices as a result of these reviews. We will continue to communicate details of responsibility, compliance, reporting, awareness and risk associated with Modern Slavery in relation to procurement and supply chains.
In addition, we are aware that raw materials are sourced from many different countries, including some which are recognised as being high risk areas for modern slavery, as to which we will always knowingly try and avoid.
Further to this statement and supporting policies, we have added the subject of modern slavery as a standing agenda item at monthly management, and annual strategic, meetings and continue to monitor and implement progress against the plan.
