SOUNDPROOF FENCING

Performance
AcoustiFence Noise Reducing Membrane is a patented, highly effective yet simple to install outdoor acoustic barrier membrane to combat unwanted road, rail and neighbour noise. An ideal solution to tackle residential and even industrial noise pollution.
The UV and mould resistant qualities of AcoustiFence make it uniquely suited to outdoor use. Acoustiblok is a flexible membrane invariably installed on to existing structures. This yields coincidental gains in attenuation at those specific frequencies where rigid barriers have strong deficiencies.
As a result much higher levels of performance can be seen using AcoustiFence than invariably achieved using typical construction materials. This also means that AcoustiFence is a great solution compared to a typical wooden fence or other type of reflective barrier.
AcoustiFence has an acoustical performance of STC27 or STC30 based on the selected model. This gives a transmission loss of either 27dB or 30dB through the material. It is worth noting that the level of attenuation of all outdoor barriers is affected by a variety of factors including end diffraction, angle of diffraction/angles of incidence, wind direction, humidity and temperature.

Uses
AcoustiFence can be easily installed onto existing perimeter fences or standard substrates such as posts and rails, chainlink fences, hoardings and herras fencing.
Originally developed by Acoustiblok for offshore oil rig noise isolation, AcoustiFence noise barrier fencing membrane has proven successful in many demanding applications.
At just 3mm thick, this revolutionary sound deadening material is an economical way to reduce unwanted outdoor noise.
Our soundproof fencing membrane comes in standard sizes of 1.8m x 9m. You can also order Acoustifence at custom lengths. If for example your project involves extreme heights, Acoustifence can be installed vertically rather than horizontally.
It is hung via grommets onto the top line of an existing fence or support pole. Multiple sections can be overlapped to reach the desired overall height.
The material in AcoustiFence was developed to be used outdoors where an economical straight line attenuation sound barrier is required.
Unlike open space fences and shrubs, this material does extremely well in blocking sound. Unlike solid materials, it reduces sound reflection which prevents increased reverberation time, vibration and distortion.
Acoustic Barrier
The material in AcoustiFence is a variation to the Acoustiblok 3mm Sound Insulation Membrane however, it has been developed to be a durable external acoustic screen solution where a straight line attenuation barrier is required.
AcoustiFence is extremely easy to install if sandwiching in-between a wooden shadow box fence or if attaching onto the face a timber frame, post and rail or hit and miss type scenarios, many clients would attach with the use of timber battens or lattice work to secure AcoustiFence in place.
We also have a more industrially recognised version with grommets/eyelets around the perimeter. Easily hung with minimum labour and effort, via grommets onto the top of an existing fencing substrate such as chain link, herras, multi-use sports fencing or support posts.
Additional tensioning wires, as used within a chain link fence can be installed running horizontally to secure and wind load the material into the frame, where required.

Noise Control
We can offer installation suggestions for each and all types of installation. Multiple sections can be overlapped to reach the desired overall height and length.
Correct overlapping of materials and use of ties to ensure a flat, closed and secure seam is essential. Please read installation suggestions.
AcoustiFence performs extremely well in blocking sound, but also reducing sound reflecting from it by way of cleverly converting the energy from an acoustic energy into heat energy.
This in turn prevents and reduces increased reverberation time, vibration and distortion, unlike the typical solid, dense structures / materials which principally deflect energy back.
Custom Designs
Our all new patented HD foliage Acoustifence allows you to display your own custom printed finish.
Not only does this provide best in class high STC sound blockage, but exceptionally beautiful, realistic looking foliage, brickwork and stone prints are also available.
Note: Foliage and landscape attachments are not sound barriers. To create your own custom graphics, please submit a high resolution image of your desired finish.
Our Acoustifence material is tested to withstand wind speeds exceeding 200mph, making it ideal to contend with even the harshest of winters and weather events.
Independent laboratory tests resulted in an STC (Sound Transmission Class) of 28 dBA; this represents to the human ear a reduction of over 80%.
