A custom built professional white out studio at The Brighton Studio has been refurbished and upgraded to become Brighton’s first infinity studio, built to meet the BBC’s ‘Guide to Acoustic Practice’ for high quality audio broadcast standards.
Studio D required extremely high levels of acoustic isolation to comply with the high standards within the set design and Acoustiblok UK was contacted to assist in the sound isolation treatment of the high end studio, as well as supply the high performance acoustic insulation to the wall and ceiling applications of the project.
The work was completed by NC Projects who are known to Acoustiblok UK from previous assignments. The company’s industry knowledge and attention to detail meant we knew they had to be involved with this impressive project. Their experience in managing as well as constructing studios enabled us to work closely to enable the team to provide a complete service from design and consultation with client to completion of the studio’s build itself.
NC Projects were commissioned by The Brighton Studio to install a sound stage and an L-shaped infinity cove in a new 14m x 9m space. The project required decoupled stud and the installation of Acoustiblok 3mm Sound Insulation Membrane soundproofing system as well as traditional soundbloc plasterboard. Their team worked closely with the client and their acoustic engineers to achieve the required sound performance of the spacious studio which can be used for film or photography.
